hi guys. my first trip to CyB and was disappointed to get half wy round the dragons back only to encounter a diversion after the 'beefy. section and the last part of the trail after crossing the bridge is apparently closed until august.
i'm not ranting, just informing those with an inclination to do the same.

cant wait to go back and try some of the other trails (the first section of the blue is quite fun).

It's always a good idea to check the noticeboard/map in the car park and also the front desk in the visitor centre where they will usually have diversion notices up.
You can then choose to do a different route, to avoid any diversions...

Last time I was there we didn't do this and had to divert on the Tarw trail, going back down a hill (on fireroad) that we'd just ridden up....

Are trail closures/diversions at CyB posted on a website anywhere?

Not that I have found.
There's this main site:
http://www.mbwales.com/en/content/cms/centres/coed_y_brenin/coed_y_brenin.aspx

but it doesn't seem to have up to date diversion info on it.

the very last section of the DB trail is closed and the section from Beefy to the start of downhill section before the cafe halfway round is diverted due to tree felling though I didn't take note of when til

I know this now but I think it would be better to put this information at the very start of the trail

Pugsleys bottom and Lurch were my favourite sections of the day to add a bit of balance!
