i got three threaded 16g "Giant" branded cartridges from Velo Ecosse for £5.95, which seemed silly cheap.
Have been using them with an old Truflo head, which came with 3 similar cartridges for about £9 from Edinburgh Bicycle.
Planet X do threaded 16g silly cheap.

look on ebay for cartridges; they'll be advertised for BB guns. you can get them for a pound a piece if you're lucky
Look at the xcracer.com shop - at £8.97 for 8 they're just over £1 each for a 16oz cartridge. I've used them for a while and they great - the shop is run by Anthony White and he knows his stuff!
