as title says, havnt used my bike for a month due to being in hospital and took it for a wee run yesterday to test the legs and its clicking like mad,but if i stand up to pedal it goes away, checked all the bolts on drive train, suspension but totally useless at detecting the cause of these things, any input would be greatly appreciated

Probably the saddle rails, or at least that's the first think I would check.

Pedals.. change them if you have a spare set to test. Saves pulling everything else apart.

Clicks when sat down and pedaling, not when standing up? It most likely won't be in your drivetrain then shirley?

As above, saddle rails maybe or likely a creaky seat post. Try moving it up/down a but as it could have seized in the clamp.

Left or right? ๐Ÿ˜‰

If it's clicking under light & heavy pedalling load I'd look at the seatpost, saddle rails and all that if it's only under heavier pedal loads then chainring bolts, QR, pedals, BB shell etc. as above.

Oh and if your shoes have laces make sure it's not them...
