I could ask on a road forum but what the hell do they know eh?

I'm after some classic road climbs to do round here.
what's a the must do?

I'll start with...

nick o pendle, waddington fell, hardknott, wynrose, kirkstone passes. cragg vale....

Mellor Road (Mellor)
Bugger Hill (out of Chapel in to Dove Holes)
Long Hill (Whaley Bridge)
Noel Pymm (Goyt Valley)
Chunel (Glossop)
Monks Road (Charlesworth)

The one that goes up to the radar station up near Appleby - can't remember the name though!

snake pass in the north west? interesting. not a very nice climb though. WAY too busy.

frogatt is better as a quick example. still 900ft or so of climbing too.

Cragg Vale - longest continuous road climb in the UK (?). Easy climb though... not steep at all.

Have you seen/considered this... covers a few decent climbs (inc cragg vale) if you do the 52 miler.

there's always the struggle out of ambleside up to the top of the kirkstone

all them big hills in the Lakes.
Personal 'faves':
Ashworth Road, Rochdale.
Chunal, Glossop.
The Rake, Ramsbottom.
That big climb from Tod to Bacup (Bacup Rd)
Brickworks, Pott Shrigley (although I normally descend to Shrigley cos it's ****in ace)
