Need some brakes to get a parts bin shopper up and running.
These seem to be well received and a bargain.
Can I use the shimano bleed bucket on them?
We sent the pair we had back. The lever reach kept adjusting in on it's own. Eventually my son took to riding with a 2mm allen key in his pocket to reset on a ride. The levers wept fluid. Avoid.
The Clarks M2 are good though.
A good heads up ,thank you.
I have a set - third ride out the front started playing up and as I was nearly home (I live down a hill,) braked to turn into my road and the front lever pulled to the bar with no effect. Will be sending them back and fitting the M2s I have in the spares box
I've had some. I wouldn't recommend.
Same here, m2 and clout fine M3 relegated to spares box because of wandering bite point.
I suspect levers / master cylinder leaking so may refuse calipers with some m2 levers at some point
I had to super glue the lever adjust as it moved in by the bottom of every track on my clouts
Same lever to bar issues after multiple bleeds for me on M4s. Sent them back. Replaced with cheap maguras which are great.
How do the cheap maguras compare to deore 4 pots?
The reach adjustment on one of my M3s moved whilst riding at Super Besse. Very scary when the lever pulls to the bar and nothing happens!
Clarkes sent a full replacement set under warranty (2 levers, calipers and discs) but I haven't used the original or warranty brakes since. I was going to try some thread lock on the reach adjuster to see if it stopped the problem.
They were also a massive pain to bleed, only managed a good bleed with the pistons slightly pushed out.
Sourced xt calipers for £32 do will hopefully ressurect my leaky xts.
