I use Disco pads for Shimano LX and Hayes 9 brakes for separate bikes. They last well, stop me and most importantly, don't cost a fortune!

I had some disco pads that separated from the backing plate. When I emailed them they didn't even bother to reply. (unlike superstar who told me that as my BB didn't have a drainage hole it wasn't a warranty issue that my BB died after 4 rides, oh no)

I've had no problem with superstar pads, aside from the fact that they might have a greater depth of pad material, which shouldn't mess with lever pull but seems to. The sintered ones are lasting OK but lack the bit on the pads that came with the brakes.

I might try some standard Superstar pads for more pad bit over longevity. Unless case anyone can recommend anything else? Bulk discounts are good as I run 2 pairs of Juicys!

Superstar sintered for me, as good as oem power-wise and a quarter of the price. Just bed them properly

I got some superstar kevlar pads, bedded them in and I am very impressed indeed. they have turned my fairly underwhelming X2s into a great brake. top pads, and they look pretty sweet too ๐Ÿ™‚

They are slightly thicker than oem which did make them a bit awkward to fit though

We swear by the Clarks brake pads - use them all the time and justifiably the the OEM stuff isn't selling. We've only got the sintered in though.

I've used Clarks for years.

On my Hayes brakes I found the pad compound quite thick so had a fair bit of rubbing when first installed. On Avid Juicys they are perfect. In both instances the sintered ones last ages.

I bought Disco pads for some Mono M4s and they glazed really easily, then became hazardously weak in the wet. The ones I got for a Mono Mini wouldn't fit into the caliper without having to file down the back-plate. I won't be buying them again.

I've used Disco's pads and if you bed them in (as you should all pads) they're fine.

i use disco's for my juicy's hayes and m4's and mono6ti brakes, all good no worries and no problems whatsoever with fitting any of them..?
ive had more than 4 sets of ss pads separate from the backing so wont be going back there again.

edit . i never bed mine in, i just fit and use, pad life is very good always and stopping power equally as good, i dont get the school of you must bed in...?

I'm using the superstar sintered without any problems. Good as OEM as near as makes no odds.
