I normally try to in order to get rid of my hangover before I drive to my parent's house. Usually depends on how wasted I get the night before

If it's snowing then yes.

A friend went out one Christmas Day a few years ago and, when riding a cheeky descent, met the only other people he saw, some family out for a pre-dinner walk. Instead of being full of Christmas cheer, they moaned at him for riding on a FP and he just replied "I'm riding this for baby Jesus". It had the desired effect of rendering them speechless and he continued on his way.

Am hoping too.

A couple of years ago I drove to my favourite area with my favourite bike. Trails were pretty much empty, just the way I like it. Had a picnic and had bought a little flask of coffee with me.

There's something very satisfying about feeling chilled whilst everyone else is getting themselves in a frazzle. ๐Ÿ™‚

I'll be out, did Penmachno in the snow last year, was such hard going but got to make fresh tracks in the snow. The folks go off for a walk and I'll ride and meet up back at home for Christmas lunch.

If I'm out proper on xmas eve I'll probably still be too mashed to drive so I'll be pootling over to my parents. If I have an easy one xmas eve, I'll be out for a ride somewhere xmas morning to work up an appetite and celebrate my birthday!

Did Marin Trail one xmas eve and did an OTB, smashed up my face n teeth and spent the eve in A&E getting stitched up. Spent xmas day/birthday a mess on the sofa!

Yup.

Done it every year for the last 6 or 7 Christmases. Generally 2-3 hours from my parents' house in Spean Bridge. Anyone want to come along?

Last year looked like this:

Always - without fail. ๐Ÿ™‚

It's just fantastic being up early and out with hardly a soul around - even if it's just a road ride through town. Get back in time for Mrs gtth waking up and demanding presents and coffee, safe in the knowledge that I've had some quality time already in the day! I'm really looking forward to it.

I think so, nothing major though, just enough to get a decent thirst up.

I wish you'd all bog off. I'm riding on Xmas day & Boxing Day (to work, in the car) to spend Crimbo with fractious prisoners who, like me, don't want to be there. then I'll come home to an empty house because Mrs Futtock will be at work on night shift with squawking kids on a ward in Leeds General Infirmary.
Merry Fu**ing Crimbo, I hope your turkey doesn't defrost & your oven conks out! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ride or run or both every Xmas day - the dogs make me! I love the little bit of escape, never out for long but do get out, 2 out of the last 5 have been in the snow even here in sunny Devon!

I will be doing a 2hr ride to the outlaws as this will help with the 4000 calories I'm about to consume not including drink and the odd packet of fully salted nuts to help with cramps.

I have my family duties ๐Ÿ˜‰

I don't suppose the little one will go out, but hoping the bigger one will want to have a little ride.

I must give my thanks to mieszko and sc-xc, who sent me parts for free which are featured in this photo.

Malvern Hills with friends.
The word on the street is that St Ann's Well cafe will be open, so there will be a cake stop.
