I had this only last week
I stopped it by nipping both cups in the frame

easygirl, it's push fit ๐Ÿ˜‰
Was gonna go CK myself as I have had it on my last two bikes, headset and BB without any problems. Decided on the Hope BB 30 screw together jobbie. Not sure if you can stop the creak totally, but take em out and clean them and use a little copperslip on reassembly. Flame away.

So you just put a BB press on & tightened it?

loctite 609 bearing retaining compound on the BB before pressing it in will cure most press-fit woes from what I've seen.

Remove the BB, strip the rest of the frame, throw frame with press fit BB in a skip, buy frame with a screw in BB, install Hope BB, creak now gone. I am increasingly adamant that this is the only way to fix a press fit BB.

Thanks lunge - I wondered how long that suggestion would take.

The noise is caused by miroscopic flexing of the alloy BB axle inside the bearing inner races. You'll see the evidence in the form of unusual wear and pitting on the area where the machined part of the axle sits inside the races. Clean everything up and smear bearing fit compound on the axle at the drive (RH) end and inside the bearing inner at the non-drive (LH) end so as not to wipe it all off as you push the axle through. This will cure the noise until the next time you dismantle.

My FSA BB30 axle showing unexpected wear within the area of the bearing races at a very early mileage, worse at the non-drive side. Now cured on my bike and my buddy's bike, permanently.

I'm running the plastic 24mm adaptors for Shimano cranks

I know mine is an extreme suggestion but it is the only one that I've managed to get to work. I say with absolute certainty that I will never buy another frame with this type of BB.

Sell the Chris King and buy a Praxis or Hope screw together BB, they work really well. Just pressing independent cups in has and always will be a totally daft solution for a problem that never existed.

Failing that, Lunge is bang on the money
