Anyone in a nice roadlie club in or near Chester?
I have a friend who's son is interested and is looking for a club.

Possibly, I was hoping there might be someone here who is actually in one of the clubs. I might be a bit daunting for a child to enter a club by himself with any introductee.

Sorry. Didn't read it properly - diet induced slow brain...

the only people I've met from CRC have been rapid road racers, so no idea if there's a structure of normal riders behind them.

Weaver Valley are a friendly bunch - always seem to be whenever I've met any of them. Again, no idea what the provision is for youth riding.

69 cycles have a road ride every sunday morning - i don't ride with them though as haven't got a road bike. Nice bunch of people that turn up though (well, ive only been out with them on mtb rides)

There must be plenty about, I've seen a few go past my old apartment (opposite harkers) maybe ask the edge or spesh bike shops if they have details?
