Yep, .99p 20" tube from Ebay cut in half on a M321 rim with a Highroller - been faultless for over a year, no burps no punctures!

Wow, that's pretty cool. I always had it down as some sort of witchcraft best left for experts. Might give it a go after Chrimbo.

Tescos do bmx tubes for £0.45 every so often - they do in my local one anyway!

Won't work with 1.8 madusa's; I've tried and tried although not with a compressor.

This looks easy...

Anyone done it with DT Swiss 4.2 and 5.1 rims?

Ghetto'ed WTB Trail rims with 2.35HRs(with a compressor). The tyre bead is held very tightly by the trail rims in fact needing pumped up until they 'ping' into the seat.

Yes I have tried, but have failed to get a seal so far 🙁 It worked well with WTB lazerdisc rims and Nevs/Advantage.

I need to borrow a compressor.

I've done this with Speeddisc rims. Worked okay, not a problem here.

DT 5.1 rims here (dt do a rim strip for them also) - lots of soapy water and compressor. easy peasy (any maxxis tyre is good).

20" tyre and sealant, lots of very soapy water round each side of the rim with a brush.

no punctures 🙂
