My eldest will soon be cycling to school (with me on tow) , I want to make him as visible as possible so want some flashy lights. It's only a mile tops and it will be daylight only, so wondering what the singletrack masses would suggest for a set of lights. Cheap is good as they will likely get replaced if they get dropped, stolen etc.

Several small (cheap) lights are, I believe, better than just one more expensive one.

1) They're very visible
2) You can space them out to increase visibility further
3) Built in redundancy - if one light runs out of juice you always have a backup
4) No one steals cheap lights

Put one on the back of his helmet too as its higher up and much more visible.
