I fancy going to a world cup and Hafjell's the only one that really works for me, what'd be the cheapest way to get there? Fly or drive/ferry/drive?

Fly to Oslo and get the train north. Did it 2 years ago with bikes (then up to Are) - completely hassle free. Super easy if you fly to Gardemoen airport rather than Rygge - just get the lift down to the railway station below arrivals and get straight on.

SAS or norwegian.com are cheapest airlines and going mid week is much cheaper too.
