I only really need the rear one (for hardtail) as the front tube is dandy as far as Im concerned.
Anywhere thats cheapish? Dont fancy wasting too much money!
Hi,
What rims? I am assuming DT's? Mine had blue tape already fitted and came with valves (spare) as they were fitted with tubes. I just put Stan's fluid in and inflated the tyres, then the jiggling and wiggling and no probs, used both Schwalbe and Specialized tyres all standard and tubeless ready not ust. So not a great cost or faff.
Paul.
EX500's so the old 5.1's. The wheel came as a Hope Hoop and Im assuming a Hope hoop comes with standard tape.
What's wrong with the rear wheel (or right with the front) that you feel that you only need a halfarsed conversion attempt?
I used to use split inner tubes but I just use stans yellow tape on all rims now with a tubeless valve (including 5.1ds). Seems to work fine with UST or tubeless ready tyres. Weighs nothing and much easier to inflate than my XM819s. I think tubeless feels much better so would change the front too.
Hora I tried the dt kit and couldn't get it to work at all just kept leaking . In the end I used a split 20" tube and it sealed straight away

Going back to a Chameleon 8)
I've been using DT Swiss rimstrips on EX500 rims with Spesh Eskar 2bliss tyres for most of this year.
Went up easily with a track pump and stayed up. I used Stans to seal them.
Only downside is the kit is really pricey, but I got my rimstrips for £12 on Ebay. And then bought some No Flats valves to use with them.
Just Riding along were doing Eclipse/DT 5.1 rimstrips for £3 each recently but I think they've run out now, they just have narrower ones left for 4.1 rims.
