My nephew had his SPD shoes nicked from student digs. I said I'd get him some flats until he saves up to get new shoes. What's the best flat plastic pedal for under £30 for big feet.

Rockbros composite have been great on some group use HTs that have been used a lot - should be able to get those for <£25

I have a set of the ht composite ones. Very impressed. Seem to be around £35 mark most places

PA03A is just excellent- good size, tough, doesn't do anything bad or weird.

If you can wait a week or so the Thinkrider plastic flats from Aliexpress are roughly as good, and cheaper. I'm only a light person so I can't say I've stress tested them but I've ridden them a bunch and on some pretty hard riding, and pedal struck them like an absolute bastard at least once, I'm a little wary recommending cheap stuff like this but they've been good for me. The pedal shape is very like the (no longer available, excellent) Nukeproof horizon comp.
