Looks like Charlie The Bikemonger is selling the business. Just saw it on his Facebook page.

Best thing about ordering from him was the stickers ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope whoever buys it keeps that up.

Got an "I brake for cake" sticker. Stuck it on the pram.

The 'Charlie tax' has paid dividends, and set him up for early retirement!...

You're buying the goodwill surely, but not any of the stock - so the name, the website and the list of customers.

I think stock is dealt with separately. You buy the business then at a given time stock take and then buy the stock.

I always thought he was about 35.

...but then his profile pic hasn't changed in about 12 years.

Shame, he did me a massive favour with a Salsa warranty, and included a free Charlie the Bike Monger T-shirt in the deal.

Haven't had much opportunity to repay the favour in custom ๐Ÿ™

Maybe time to pick up a set of PDWs...

Hopefully picked up by someone just like him and continues in the same way.

Enjoy the retirement Charlie ๐Ÿ˜€

Oh, an opportunity for all those that know better to make a killing.

Form an orderly queue please.

Where is everyone?

All the best Charlie

Spent a lot of time browsing the website but never actually bought anything. Wish him all the best in his retirement and hope the business gets bought by somebody who loves bikes.

Wow. Good luck to him in 'retirement', really hope it continues in a similar fashion.
I doubt anyone else could have the same amount of influence in as many niche areas...SS, 29ers, fat bikes. Always remarkable that a little shop in Swanage was always ahead of the next trend, which says something about the man himself.
