I may just decide to carry a spare saddle around with me in my pack, but does anybody know of a saddle like the above which exists?

That narrows it down a modicum at least. 🙂
Having asked, it's struck me that I could try using some of that putty from SJS which cures and hardens like steel, and as well as repairing the corner which has broken, I could reinforce the other corner too with the same stuff, and possibly not have any more broken corners.
Doing that and carrying a spare saddle in my pack could be cheaper than buying into a new saddle and seat post system potentially.
