Is it just me, or is changing pads on Hayes Stroker Trails a total pain in the arse? It seems last impossible to get the little wire to catch onto the post sticking out of the pistons. Fitting the second pad is especially difficult since there is so little room to manoeuvre after the first pad is in.
Seems incredibly awkward compared to Hopes or Shimano.
Yep agreed - got them on one of me bikes - shite.
Also I think Ive damaged on of the post thingies so the pads rattle about
Not sure why, but it's easier if you insert the pads in a certain order. I can't remember now if it's inner pad first or outer pad first.
Never had a problem getting them to clip into place though, but do remember it being a real PITA if inserting the "wrong" pad first.
Yep total pain, trying to get the wire things onto the pads is the worst part for me. Not enough room for the rotor to turn freely, at least not on mine.
