Just started occuring. The chainring on the fornt are all only 6 months old (XT) and the chain is about 1 month old. I've never let the chain get above 0.75 on the park tools chain checker so i think i can rule that. And i would have thought that the chainrings should have lasted longer than 6 months.
All the gears are set up correctl;y so now i'm at a bit of a loss.

Any ideas?

Could be a chain link coming loose, worth checking through the chain, could even be a stiff link but less likely if it's been ok before? Had a similar thing happen to me a few weeks ago and the plates and pin on a link were coming apart - hire bike btw - put on another chain and it was fine.

Where's it skipping?

I've had a chain skipping due to a slight kink in the rear derailleur cage, causing the chain to be misaligned on the jockeys, and binding a bit on the cage plates

Age has noting top do with it. It's milage and condition that counts.....

First you need to fing out if it's jumping on the cassette or chainrings

My money is on the cassette end.....

Or a bent mech hanger, or cables need replacing.
