For whatever reason I am getting an increasing nr of dropped chains on fast rocky descents.

Currently running 1 x 11 on Tallboy 3 with hope chainring.

Thinking it might be time for a discreet chain guide but this is all new to me....

i think I can fit one via the retrofittable front derailleur mount (?) but do I need an e type or d type or none of the above.

any recommendations of good ones also readily available as I need in a hurry and not shipped from the states

evidently not...

Is the chainring/chain worn, or the clutch on the mech loose? as that can cause chains to jump off.

I went for a BB mounted oneup guide on my tallboy 3 as the derailleur mount is not the most elegant. I'd second checking the chainring for wear. I doesn't seem to take that much to knock it off.
