Never had this issue before.. got a newish clockwork evo and a lap of cwmcarn tonight I dropped a chain a few times. 2 times the chain was off the chainring and also off the bottom of the cassette. Once was just off the bottom of the cassette.

I have tweaked the h and l screws and I thik its better aligned now but time will tell. I will also pop a chain device on.

Any thing else I should be doing? Chain length etc.

Rear mech got a clutch on it and you've left it in the off position? Also sounds like the limit screws aren't set up right.

I would get the whole drivetrain checked - not unknown for new bikes to come with bent hangers and with the stop screws not adjusted correctly

Most likely to be limit screws not set up. Could also be too long a chain or worn drivetrain. Not mech hanger as obsessed with STW keyboard mechanics
