I have an orange hitman with a single chainring on the front (gears at rear, not singlespeed) that seems to be dropping the chain far too often.

It has no chain device/ tensioner fitted which I assume to be the problem.

The bike is pictured on page 27 of this orange brochure

where it has a chain device fitted.

Can anyone tell me what this is as I am looking to buy one or something similar to stop the chain coming off and don't really know where to start (is it a guide or tensioner or are these the same thing?)

I am told the bike has ISCG tabs which are used to fix such a device to.

Would something like this solve my problem http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/blackspire-stinger-chain-tensioner-green-2013/rp-prod54361

Thanks

thick/thin chainring and a clutch mech if your on 10spd.

works brilliantly.

I would recommend getting one with a top guide too

This seems good value http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=56&products_id=263&osCsid=c4qiqcp0eldbs2n509a1nufdd6

It's an 8-speed if that helps, and thanks will look at one with a top guide.

How do I know if I need ISCG 05 or standard ISCG?

Thanks, have measured the distances between the centres of the holes which are around 47mm so suggests ISCG old.

What do the BCD measurements above mean? Are they the BB shell measurements as the orange website claims the hitman has a 73mm BB shell?
