I'm ordering one of these, what do people think of the electronic suspension? Wouldn't mind hearing from someone who has used it this year?

Not used it myself but I think it's interesting. You'll have lots of luddites saying you'll be wanting someone to actually ride the bike for you next but the ei suspension IMO is all about just making the shocks perform optimally rather than doing stuff the rider should be doing.

Yeah, that's my thought aswell so this is my predicament. Been told I can have the non ei version at the end of October or wait for the ei bike in the new year. Question is..... can I wait?

I'd get the ei, because I'm a nerd. ymmv.

(IIRC Guy Kesteven tested both against each other and concluded that normal was faster but EI felt better)

Demoed the spicy 516 earlier in the year with it. It's brilliant. You need it in your life.

They're supposed to be good with EI, however factor in the extra cost for the bike shop to sort and (internally routed) electronic cable issues, and check the availability of electronic spares too as if something breaks it maybe a while to get it replaced.
Personally I'd have a non EI as it's just another thing to play with and I'd spend even less time riding ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have Lappiere solved their frame and warranty issues yet?

Think it's soon going to be time to replace my trusty 2010 Zesty. Been a brilliant ride. Just give me more of the same with Ei. Reviews so far seem very positive

Based on what we've experienced, i'd leave it, when things go wrong there doesn't seem to be a wealth of technical back-up or spares. I can't say i'd be happy with connectors, whose only waterproofing is heatshrink sleeving, living inside a damp frame either.

Coatsey has a better knowledge of the ins and outs of this setup than me, so, what he said. (in reference to the electronics ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

I'd save the cash and just buy better conventional damping with the money saved!

(i've got a CCBDair on the back of my Spesty (160mm Zesty) and it's fit and forget tbh.)
