Shimano 10 speed chain, whats a good connector or are they all much the same?

Kmc bling gold,easy to spot split link, 2for around £6, easy to use and re use many times

+1 on KMC. I generally buy a Shimano chain, throw away the pin and fit KMC.

Another vote for kmc , chain reaction do a tool that does open and close of links, well worth it rather than swearing with a pair of thin nose pliers

Clarks 10 speed on a Shimano 10 speed MTB chain. Never missed a beat, easy to take on/off for cleaning.
