This Sunday's cx meet in Reading is merging with the Wessex league but it's quite a long drive for me.

Does anyone have any thoughts of the venue/ course? Satellite views show it's on a playing field, but what's the terrain like? Any technical sections in the course?

Would like to do it but a 90 minute drive for a flat non technical course doesn't really appeal.

Hard to say, look at Hemel. that's a school and very technical.I'm going over from Leighton Buzzard and can just squeeze another bike in with the wheels off if you ant a lift.

Cheers oldgit. Thanks for the offer of a lift but I will be coming from Hampshire so way out of your way.

Will probably go anyway.

90 minutes from Andover to Reading MM!? Blimey, are you going by horse and cart!?

Who rode yesterday?

I wimped out in the end, just couldn't get excited at spending nearly 4hrs in the car. Didn't help that I spent most of Saturday Christmas shopping and would have had to get up stupidly early to get the bikes/kit ready.

Raced every weekend since mid September so a weekend off won't hurt (doing Thetford this coming weekend).

Sadly not. My bed was to comfy and needed a lie in. What was the course like?

Rusty, an hour to reading and 30 mins to find it. Picked Rach up from Reading station recently and it took me an hour exactly.

I raced - only a ten minute ride from my house so couldn't really miss it.

Course was a bit short and it was very busy - 100+ riders on 5 minute lap course! Wind was biggest issue on the back straights. All rideable and little wood was fun. Still waiting for full results!

Yes I enjoyed the course, not the wind. Thought I had a leaf stuck in my brake, but the noise was my wheezy chest!
