Loving my new to me CDF, but want to run a larger front tyre
Will the Surly Knard 41c fit ?
Or is there any better suggestions of tyre choice

Not tried that tyre but it sounds like it'd be too big. There isn't masses of room at the front - certainly no chance if you have guards. I've fitted 32c Small Block 8s in the past which I guess are a similar type of tyre.

No interest in fitting guards, it's got 700c x 35 which measure 40mm

i've seen em on a CDA with the carbon fork. Dunno if thats helpful or not?

I ran 42mm Conti X Kings on my old Croix de Fer and it was fine although sometimes a stone would get stuck in the tyre tread and you'd hear 'ping ping'off the frame/fork as you rode along.
