Friend has just got one second hand for her son, just checking it over and not a chance in hell of the seat post clamping.
No slot in the seat tube and seat post is a pretty slim 25.4mm
Anyone got one to compare?
Will post a picture once I find a new site for linking from Google photo as previous one not working anymore.
We've got one. Standard setup, quick release with slot in tube.
Grinder may be called for to make a slot then 🙄
Wonder if the original owner cut down the tube ?
Weird. That looks a different year to ours - different colorway and design - but frame's pretty much the same, with the gusset. Tube extends about an inch beyond the gusset, as does the slot, meaning that you couldn't cut beyond the slot without at least cutting right down to the gusset.
Looks a tidy chamfer on the end of the tube and enough paint to suggest it wasn't cut down.

Cheers @swdan looks like my friends frame is just missing it, will add it myself now I know they didn't use some shim based setup.
Zoomed in on the 8th picture and it has a proper rear slot with drilled end to prevent splitting.
