Never mind Tom Scott. That Mike boyd bloke is amazing. Absurdly stunning how he works his shit out and improves.

Is he available for coaching?

Watched a few more of his videos. OK he's good at working stuff out persevering, and editing vids... his stair climbing one made me want to get out now and find some stairs 😀

That's exactly like teaching my Kids to ride was, but without the Strops, crying and threats to quit... Their behaviour wasn't exemplary either.

This is adorable. And surely a contender for world's most expensive balance bike.

I did fear for him given the earlier one where he tried caving and was a gibbering wreck within seconds. But then again, that's probably what I'd do.

I was 30 years old when I learnt to ride a bike (having my first child was the deciding factor).

I had lessons with 'Pedalling for Pleasure' near Bournemouth. It took me about 10 minutes to get pedalling but a while longer to learn the basics.

Living in South Yorkshire I could have found somewhere closer to learn but was worried someone I knew may see me.

Makes you realise how much we take for granted, all the balancing, steering, gear changes, up n downing the post etc etc. All so natural. I remember the first time I took my son to BPW and I was like, How the hell did he learn to ride like that? But he's been on bikes since he was a toddler and it all comes even more natural then 🙂

What I take from it is that actually I probably could learn some actual bike handling skills. It makes you realise that anything you can do seems easy and anything you can't seems hard. But if you realise that you have already learnt things that others perceive as hard then you can learn things that you perceive as hard. Of course I've always known this but it's good sometimes to actually think about it
