[#1042714]

I have just got a singlespeed frame and am looking for a set of 100mm adjusted forks for a 26" wheel.
So far I have shortlisted -
On-One Carbon 26ers
Pace RC's
NukeProof

I hear that Nukeproof have had some quality issues recently ❓

Any recommendations? Any I missed for simliarmoney?

Pace or On-one

[edit] or Niner if it's a 29er.

Anybody using any of the above?

Good call on the White Bro's, missed them, although hard to find cheap in 100mm.

Enjoyed the on-ones on my ss for a month or so and then it began to mess with my head. They're comfy therefore something is movng or bending o squishing and I had to sell em after that! Steel hurts more that's for sure!

I've got RC31's in 420mm and 440mm. Aside from the obvious difference in how they affect handling, they're a world apart in terms of bendiness - both are comfy but the 440mm's flex a LOT under braking which can be a bit scary.

I've got a steel fork as well for jumping, but it's not comfy for a day in the hills.

I gave my on one forks some stick over the period i had them and they shrugged it all off. Now happily sat on someone else's bike i believe

The on-one forks are certainly tops on price but I am tempted by the Nukeproof's but worried about there build issues

paces flex more than the exotics, dunno bout on ones but they arnt as light so probably same as exotic in terms of flex.

cant complain about my exotics though and they are more comfy than my genisis io steel forks which are brutal, pipedream steel forks are preety good though

What's the "issues" with nukeproof then, fancied a pair should I avoid?

I was told that they were having quality issues with there carbon bonding and that stock was in short supply because of this.

Mmm, wonder if any of the dodgy ones got into the wild? Also just had a look at the on-ones, look nice anyone know how long they are? 425 or 445ish? Cheers

I've used RC31's & On-One's.
Pace very flexy, but I was unknowingly well over there weight limit.
On-One's were very good, only marginally heavier but way more confidence inspiring.
There are always them SuperStarComponents ones also. They look ok.

nukeproof, white brothers, superstar are all the same forks from the same manufacturer, they are also sold as Exotic for a fraction of the price.

They seem fine and Ive not heard of any failures or issues on any of them regardless of brand - if you're not a brand whore then go for the cheapest.

On-one are very different though: great forks and made differently by a different factory. Good price too.

I have the exotic ones on my Genesis and they are great. I don't lose any sleep over them breaking as they have given me no reason to think that way. I have ridden many a black run on them and have even got some serious air time (well maybe a tiny bit off the floor, but it felt huge in my mind 😆 )

On One, no weight limit or rotor size limit. Our mechanic uses one on his Scandal and rates it highly.

After reading Stoner's comments and doing some research the brands are all the same apart from graphics. Can't confirm manufacturer though.

The exotic forks are a very good price and looking at their website, there are so nice bits of kit.

I think it is a toss up between the exotic and the on-one's, but the difference in price does also get a carbon bottle holder and headset grip from exotic!
They are to go on a Cotic Simple, by the way.
