Hi I have some Sram S2200 cranks from a Stumpy 2011 and I want to put them on my new bike but following a history of chain drops and a couple pedal strikes my cranks look awful and now wandering if they are even safe enough. Please take at look at my photos.

Look OK to me, just looks like superficial lacquer damage.

Sand 'em down and re-lacquer them.Put some heli tape and boots on next time though.
Or give them to me.

Probably fine, but I do hate the way one's face bounces off the floor when a crank snaps in half. ๐Ÿ˜€

Will I be able to escape face planting the ground within a ball of fire if I touch them up with nail varnish?

Looks fine - very superficial - keep checking if any delaminating starts occuring and/or lacquer them / protect them.
