Farnborough car boot today, Saracen Tufftrax (1991? Ish?) in good nick all original but best thing is good condition Girvin Flexstem too!
Adjusted it a bit and it rides really nicely. Even paint is ok and gears aren't worn. Even the plastic Mountain LX cantis are good!!

Proud owner!!!!!

Pub bike? Don't go to the pub - this is a spare bike for towpath rides and such.

Price? £15!!

It's spelt BIEK, and they are BREAKS, not brakes...

Sweet ride.

My mate had that model. I had the purple Kili from that year.

(Runs in shrieking with excitement)

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

The Tufftrax was my first 'proper' MTB!! I loved that bike!

That looks in great nick. Amazing in fact, for a 20+ year old bike.

Actually a decent steel frame, with decent bits like Deore hubs and BB. Not sure if those wheels are original; mine had black Wolber rims. The original Deore thumbies have bin replaced with STIs I see.

£15?? Bastid.

Can I have yer wife's bike as compensation please?

The "MBUK OK" stickers are worth the price alone.

If he hadn't bought it, I would have done. I hate to see decent old bikes abandoned and the bloke was desperate to get rid of it.

I nearly bought that exact bike in that colour, when I was about 13. Nice!

Ahh, I used to have one of those. Climbed really well from memory- just something about the geometry of it.
Enjoy!!!

Wheels need replacing really if I can find some nice 7sp wheels somewhere. New grips cables, seat and pedals will make it 100%.

Elf - NO! Ok?

You can ride my new one if you visit though... 🙂

Need some bits for it really, just put a wanted ad in - really would like an ok bike to lend out to people who don't have their own bikes but would like to try it.

Nice old Saracen - good find!

Reminds me of my old Saracen Team Kili Ultra Flyer Comp Pro Magura etc I had around 91/92. Still not had a bike with such a long name since.

I had one of the first Tuff Trax in custard yellow. My first MTB (ATB at the time). Was around 1986. Mate had the Muddy Fox Courier. They were the seminal mountain bikes of the day. 🙂
