Going off Canyons online size guide it's got me down for a 54, fair enough, my current bikes a 54 with a long 130 stem, total tt length with stem on my current bike is 685cm.

The total on the 54 Canyon comes to 632, 50mm shorter.

Bike to Bike I'm looking at a 58 (still 10mm shorter overall) having a look around the trend is to buy larger. I'm a fairly average build 5'10.

Anyone gone up a few sizes when buying? Or has anyone got one I could swing a leg over in South Wales?

Post purchase stem swaps not really an option due to Canyons weird 'Canyon only' stem diameter.

Stem diameters 31.8 (I think) and not available from CRC/Wiggle etc,
Canyon will swap but anything non-standards a hassle swaps wise.

This fit calculator is pretty good and its worth a little time taking your measurements and entering them to give you an idea of sizing. Whilst TT measurement is very important, you need to consider other factors such as handlebar drop and saddle setback in getting the right size frame.

This sounds strangely similar to Giant's overdrive2 stem sizing :-

Thanks all!

I'd not actually looked for aftermarket stems in 31.8, every forum post I found said they were pretty difficult to come by,
old comments maybe...

Canyon offer a free stem swap once the bike arrives, glad to know there's options available if I need one at a later date.
