Instead of going on a 15 mile mountain bike ride, I also,

can't be ar5ed
so went for a 15 mile road ride.

I did top my fastest ever max speed though at 45.7mph, according to the GPS ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

I don't think I want to try to improve on that.

never... If I don't take the bike out I'll always do something else. Go for a swim or drive out somewhere and go for a long walk.

...does watching the grand prix count. That's todays' activities. I may tinker with the commuter to find out what the strange knocking is but that's me. Is it beer time yet?

Got a bit of a cold so didn't really feel like going out however looking out the window and seeing the decent weather was motivation enough so I'm just back from a little local loop on the BFe.

Ton - exactly right.

Except croissants rather than porridge (it's my wife's birthday today and she wanted croissants).

I'm hoping my motivation will get a bit higher and I'll be able to go for a ride this evening.

Was knackered last night so went to bed really early about 8.30, asleep by 9 ๐Ÿ™‚
Got up this morning about 5.30, lovely frosty clear moonlit sky so decided to head out for a big hill ride there and then.
[img] [/img]
On the hill for 7.30, just beautiful.
[img] [/img]
Had one of those rides where everything seems to ride perfectly too which made it even better, popping off drops, riding steep steppy switchbacks like a true riding god....until I got to the bottom of the hill and relaxed on a flat, innocuous bit of trail along the riverside. Had a hard, unexpected pedal strike on a heather covered rock which pinged me right off the bike and into the river upside down ๐Ÿ˜• Thankfully it wasn't deep but it makes you think.

Looking back up the Corrie to the start of the looong downhill.

Martin, about 3hrs 45 to do the loop. Passed loads ofbikes on the way home between 11 and 12.
Nasty one at Kintail last night. That corner has nearly caught me out a few times in the past.

I had a can't be ar5ed day too

ending up doing a bit of fettling with the car at around 6pm because I was feeling guilty for doing nowt

I blame the weather, its the weak winter light, and the cold, just could not be bothered going out of the house
