Hi
I’ve got some Campag Shamal 2 Way wheels and just bought some Conti GP5000 TL tyres. Got Stans tubeless valves in there too.
I got through 2 tyre levers before I got the tyres on, but they are on nonetheless.
Now I can’t get them to inflate.
I’ve tried removing the valve to get the to seat, I’ve tried with some sealant in there in the hope it would just help me a bit. I can only get it to about 40psi, arms going like the clappers!
I tried my pocket canister and cylinder (forgot what they are called but you see them littered all i oh her the ground these days). That got it up to a good pressure but still the tyre didn’t sit.
Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Schwalbe Pro Ones go on easily, seal well and roll nicely on my Zondas, inflation by track pump every time. The Vittorias were an absolute pile of pooh. Went on easily but would not seal, and i tried bike shop compressor and a booster to do the job.
Sometimes it helps to leave a tube in overnight, and then remove it from just one side. That will ease the tyre onto the bead on the other side.
You can also use a tyre lever to lift the tube onto the bead, out of the well in the middle.
