Ive the carbon version (cant remember what number in the series). It's a properly light bike that performs really well IMHO. Love the lefty too. The suspension is pretty active when it needs to be but feels really good when pedalling. give one a try I reckon you'll like it.

hi - i too have the carbon bike - love it - superb riding position, lefty is fab and it is very very reliable single pivot design.

I built mine frame to match the Team 06 bike - cost me about 2k.

Now I'm not saying that I have done this but....

Has anyone ever over tightened the clamp bolts on a lefty fork (the steerer ones not the fork leg ones) and cracked the casting a little around the top of the bolt recess, and if so did they continue to ride it anyway and what happened ?

I have an alu one and rate it as a good bike. I had a scalpel before and that was an amazing bike, so I'm not as exuberent about the rush. The frame is probably the same as everyone elses short travel xc single pivot, but the lefty takes it a level above most others.

Bought it v cheap second hand and put good components on it - wish I could have afforded the carbon frame new. I reckon that would be a special bike - I'm surprised how heavy my one is, it's just under 30 lbs and the kit is decent.

As far as the cracking the lefty clamp goes - is it a lefty speed? I think the clamps are detachable so it would be an easy replacement. The carbon DLR2s have the clamps bonded on so it would be more problematic.

It is a Speed 110 but I unluckily managed to get one with bonded clamps so, as far as I can make out, I either live with it or get a new fork and lefty's are well expensive. The crack is only just on the edge of the bolt recess not in any structural part of the crown. I just need to watch for it propogating I guess.

I know what you mean about them being suprisingly heavy, I have upgraded mine condsiderably and it's still hefty. Can't really fault the ride though.

Does anyone have any pics ??

I / me / we ,have a Alu Rush to demo. If you'd like to try it out give us a shout . We're up in Wigan . Rides are Sundays in the AM.

I've literally just picked the Rush up this afternoon ,so I've no opinion on it just yet, however ,the other week I was on a carbon one . Pretty high end kit with the carbon lefty. I thought it was light. It felt mega efficient uphill ,and was unbelievably good downhill, although it wasnt proper set up 'my way' I had a blast on it.Deffo recommended. If you cant try ours ,try someone elses ,but do try one.
