I placed an online order last year but due to long delivery date I cancelled it by phone. I'm having trouble getting a refund - keep getting fobbed off with "The Refund Dept has a backlog" - they've only got 2 shops for Gods sake!
I got a little bit more assertive this afternoon as it was the 3rd phone call but still got the same old excuses. I'm begining - to wonder if they're having cash flow problems.
Any suggestions to speed the refund process - trading standards perhaps?

Speak to your card provider, if that is you paid via card.
