Just fitted a new Renthal chainring and a KMC X1 chain on my singlespeed and things don't seem very good. So, I chucked the old Sram 1/8 back on and all quiet. Is it the chainring and chain being the issue or the rear sprocket is a King one, which although a year old looks as new. Could that cause the noise of grinding under pressure? Am I going to have to keep to 1\8 chains?
