Doesn't look like much bother til the bit where he gets stuck. I'd want to see that up close though, looks tricky

Hell no! On my xc bike I might get about 3 boulders less than he does, fully armoured and big-biked up I would still get stuck where he does.

No.

but i think hes going about it the wrong way (didnt watch it to the end to find out if he cleans it)

he knows he can do the top half, surely start lower down and work out the second half, then link it up.

Also, what is sectioning?

is it anything like sessioning?

Yes, I think so. It would probably take me a few goes though.

yeah i think that's plenty do-able. he's definitely having a bit of a mind-**** with that tight gap though, needs a bit more speed and commitment to roll through it.

where is it btw? looks familiar, but also not familiar! if you don't want to post the location on here, could you email it to me please? mrcarlpeachey@hotmail.com

ta 😀

Like rp16v I would be going at a slower pace and hopping - from left foot to right and back whilst carrying the bike.

No chance me riding that sight unseen, couldn't happen.

If I had 100 goes at it like our kid in the vid then yes.

Yeah no worries.
Needs more speed/ commitment and to look where he wants to go rather than at his front wheel. Try riding up the face of the big rock on the left, where he keeps getting stuck

Agree peachos----once you get that bit of "trail baggage" on your shoulders it's tough to shake. I have a spot on a favorite trail that looks sort of like that narrow space--it's only about 15 feet long--cleaned it the first try and not in the ensuing couple of hundred tries. Just a moment of hesitation and you are totally screwed

i am sure that trail is actually called 'Cynic-Al Alley'.

he is the only man who can clear it. I saw it.

ken.

Hard to tell, we can't see what's after the piece where he keeps getting stuck. I could certainly get as far as he does.

To be honest, I'd just get bored with trying it that many times and go balls out on the last attempt, hope I clean it.

that location looks really familiar...

surely riding over one of the big rocks rather than getting stuck in the gap. easy to say from behind a keyboard though

it looks easy, he is taking the wrong approach line in IMO though

Depends what's causing him to get stuck. Is the front wheel hooking up? If so then my rad skills could sort that out pronto mamma.

why does he insist on taking that horrendous angle into it ? there is a much much nicer line to enter that tech section hes far far too sharp at it

Think I might struggle at the bit he comes a cropper on. Thinking that with a bit more speed might be the answer.

is it a trick question..? maybe I was expecting too much.. I can't really see what's causing the problem from the video..

to be fair though it looks tricky as ****.. I wouldn't be embarrassed if I didn't clear it first go..

He almost had it on the 2nd attempt then got progressively worse.

Wrong line, no committment and outside his comfort zone.

Head game to some extent. It happens... 😉

I'd like a go at it, maybe get a few stw,ers to go and give it a go, more of a Peak Practice than a Peaks Pootle ! Does any body out there know (and want to share) where exactly that is? i wont tell anyone, promise.

Not sure if I'd be able to get past the bit he gets stuck on, maybe not even that far. I'm a bit crap with rocks and techy stuff.

That last video is quality, love the banter.
I expected the 'freerider didi' to just gas to flat it from the top not gas to face in the grass
