Picked up a (possibly knackered) set of Rochshox SIDs to stick on a hack bike.

Do I need a shock pump (and if so any recommendations?) or can you get an adaptor for a track pump?

in short yes.

but - what pressure are they? track pump go high enough? stay on at that pressure? can you get the pump onto the valve and finally accuracy on the track pump will be off by prob 10%

could prob borrow shock pump off someone local /lbs

I dunno, have managed to bugger my fave track pump on my pitch's RP2 shock (), though presumably forks are at lower pressure.

Gecko - if you're Pentlands bound sometime, e-mail me at profile address, have a shock pump you're free to use (<1 minute from Bonaly bridge-over-bypass). Otherwise, I'm sure any bike shop wouldn't mind giving you a few breaths if you take the forks in...

Tom - thanks, don't know what pressure, don't even know what year they are. Might post pics tomorrow, see if anyone can help. Looks like an embedded schraeder valve at the top of each stanchion, no dials or anything. V-brake and disc mounts.

Rob - cheers, appreciate the offer but prefer to use/break my own tools.

Don't know about the smileys ๐Ÿ˜
