Needs to be long enough to thread into a post mount fork (for 160mm caliper) with a post to post adapter plus the avid conical washers (yes i DO need them) and an avid elixir caliper.
How much thread needs to be in a fox post mount? is 5mm enough or should i go for 10mm?

5mm won't be enough, 10mm should be about right.
