isn't the tubing kinked a bit too low down for that, so you need the low-normal one?

Geewavetree: looks like you have removed the ugly bash guard from the double SLX crankset? Does this work OK? Shorter bolts needed?

my trance (100mm travel 08) came with a conventional swing like the one you want to use

I'm thinking of going two up front on my trance, maybe with a 34 tooth.

Buzz - that is a triple version - swapped the rings for 24/36. The ratios are ace, the changes slightly clunky, and teh chain drops off the big ring on bumpy stuff, other than that its good ๐Ÿ˜‰

I recently got the double and bash from CRC which is 22 36 but with a triple mech. The shift is a clunk but works OK and the ratios are good. The bash is bigger than I expected and I was wondering about removing it but for the dire warnings on the sheet.
