While I await delivery of a tubless tyre I'm wondering if I can run a standard tyre with inner tube on the rim?
It's a carbon rim without the little flanges along the edge that a normal tyre would hook under.
Thanks.
Yes but I'd try it tubeless first - if it doesn't work chuck a tube in.
If there's no bead on the rim then no tyre will mount, tubeless or not.
What rims are they?

They are Chinese hookless rims.

If there are spoke holes on the rim bed, [url=

But I run my hookless carbon rims with regular tubes and tubeless ready tyres fine.
Thanks Matty they are just like that! I will go tubeless but all I'm waiting for now to be able to finish my build and ride my new bike this weekend is a tubeless tyre! If it doesn't arrive it will be down to my lbs who only do standard tyres. Thanks.
