As per subject, just wondering cos when the same debate happened about 27.5 frames, 29er wheels would either not have enough clearance or the handling would make the bike unrideable? But maybe with the slightly bigger frame, it could work? And then could a 29er suspension fork fit up front without affecting steering or clearance to the down tube?

Both the Fox and Rockshox B+ fork will fit a 29er or B+ wheels.
The Rockshox fork is sold as 29/B+.
Both of the B+ bikes I've been looking to buy can run either wheel size.

Probably, but it will depend on chainstay length (for tyre/seat-tube clearance) and will raise the BB slightly. Whether or not you will notice this in practice though....
