Anyone know a basic campsite near Halden Forest? I'm doing a 2 day first aid course down that way and may as well stay somewhere near the trails for an evening ride.
Bristol side ideally.
cheers.

Mile or two down A38 from Haldon turn off
Thanks, that will do, but I was hoping for something dirt cheap and basic for the night. Happy to live it up though.

Pricey, but you can ride to and from the Hub, plus you get all mod cons.
There are others, but a distance away.
Snaps,
Rumour has it that site is going to be cleared. Must sort some DUCs out with you.
Probably closest ride from the trails is the Haldon Forest Holiday Park in Clapham. No idea what the campsite is like but the area's nice and one steep road climb from there gets you a heap of good riding. Shout when you're planning a ride too - I and many others are often up for an evening ride and a pint after.
Snaps, that reminds me of one I stayed in a Montreaux a few years ago, but probably less friendly.
