Sorry I can't post photos but on the frame just below the rear shock mount is a small, black square welded 'box' which looks like it has as cover with a hex bolt to keep it on.
What is this?
My only thought was a mount for electronic shifting but I think it's highly unlikely and I can't think of anything else. Am I missing something really obvious?
Blanked off front mech mount.

I feel like a total idiot now.
Of course it’s a front mech mount. Why bother having one on a bike supplied with a single front ring though? Are people going to think ‘this single ring witchcraft really isn’t for me...maybe I’ll go with a triple instead? Strange.
