[Closed] Cable routing - which way round

I have my gear cable going into a port on the r/h side of the frame, and dropper in the left, so the cables don’t cross over. Mist bikes seem to have the gear cable routing through the left and dropper the right.

Is there any reason for this? I do get some cable rattle at times - could this contribute?

Routing to the opposite side gives a less tight bend in the cable. That reduces friction and enhances cable life.

It also reduces the chance of cables rubbing the headtube.
