I'm building up a Scandal frame and am currently setting up the gears. I usually cross the cables around the front of headtube and run them down the opposite sides of the toptube to the shifter they originate from. I don't suppose that there's a 'proper' way to do this, whatever suits, but on the Scandal the cable stop on the rear of the seattube that takes the end of the outer for the front mech. is sharply angled across the tube, from the non-driveside (top) to driveside (rear). At first I though it'd been welded on badly but I think it's to give a straight run for the cable inner to the front mech.
However, this means that there's no way that I can feed the end of the outer from the lefthand shifter into with unless I don't run it across the headtube or, cross the cables under the toptube. I was wondering how people route the gear cables on their setups.
i think i crossed mine under the top tube.
