Yep, they seem to work very nicely.

Use the CnBS on your lid instead?

It's bright but I don't particularly like the spread of light when used as a bar light - it's rather spotlight-like even with the diffuser.

Used as a helmet light it's better (alongside my Hope Vision 4s on the bars) but it stands quite a way up from the helmet. A friend described it as looking like a pylon on my head.

Overall it's ok for the price.

you have bought wisely Hora. you'll realise that when you get it and switch it on. did you get the bar clamp as well?

I don't use the supplied helmet mount as it is too tall and makes the light sit too high, I just use the supplied bar mount rubber band things on an old giro hex and a bit of non-slip mat under the light, around the bit of the helmet the band is going over, seems solid so far.

I think so.

I have one and its been fine. The battery seems to last ages and I get on fine with the spread of light. For the money, I really can't complain.

I used one of their torches with a joystick mount as my helmet tight. It was such a cheap solution and makes a differnce. The mount cost me more than the torch and battery.

Get the diffuser. It makes the beam pattern more useful.

i did tell you to in my email.
when using mine i found that using the supplied o-rings the lamp would always rotate on the bar due to vibrations. i even tried duck tape and inner tube to add more grip but it would still move.
at the time C&B Seen didnt have a dedicated mount for the lamp so i modified the bar clamp off my old cateye lamps. since then i've not had the problem of the lamp moving.

after i'd emailed you i checked to see how much the bar clamp is....£9.99!? bloody hell thats a bit steep!

I use a bit of this type of non-slip mat around my bars/ the helmet bit and it stops any movement, it's kinda squishy foam... I got it from a B&M shop, a bit like poundland but worse.

Very good for the money IMO, and you should have got one of these http://www.candb-seen.co.uk/flashlightheadlamp/ultrafire-wf-501b-cree-xm-l.html as your head torch, shockingly good and great value at under a tenner 🙂

Ordered the holder Gonzy. The main reason I stopped night riding (I remember us waiting for binners at the bottom of the ice cream run on Rivi on my first descent) 😀 was the airbike mount constantly failing mid ride or descent. I just gave up.

As above, I just O-ring the lamp straight onto my lid.
Stays put and doesn't sit too high.
Great light for the price, I use an old Hope vision on the bars as well for road/downhill bits.

Does anyone know if the candb seen flashlight fits in a joystick helmet mount?

Yes they do - that's what I'm running. It's a few mm too wide, but it stays in nice and snug.

They work pretty well for the money.

I just can't bring myself to buy super posh expensive lights, especially when these work so well for the money.

Aren't you worried about light pollution/not riding in trees/other obscure stuff any more then?

Bregante I'm desperate to ride. Sat I was too hungover so decided to make up for it Sunday- Sunday had time constraints. This means I need to get out. Really do. Turbo'd it yesterday....but its not the same is it? When theres a mild, still and calm evening it feels wasted not being outside.

Trying to be a regular thing after, funnily enough, buying a C&B Seen light myself.

We meet at Jackson's Boat for 6, but are flexible (at least on time).

Interesting. I'll bear that in mind when I get a free Tuesday, if you don't mind another tagging along? Ride round there a fair bit (am in Urmston) but would be interested to see others routes.

Beautiful crisp night. Unfortunately an hour into the ride my mate made a navigation error and we ended up at the Bowling Green Hotel.
