My GF wanted a new bike for family bike rides next summer so I built her a 2010 Genesis Core 40 but with upgraded fork, brakes and wheels. Now all I need is a baby trailer to go on the back of it.

I finished putting it together 5 minutes before work so pedals will be a lunchtime mission. It came with SPDs so I need to find some flats for it.

She'll thank you for the upward pointing saddle as well.

Out of interest, as you have bought her a new bike why didn't you buy her a lady specific jobbie?

Because I couldn't get a womans specific at a decent price. Also she doesn't have little girlie hands or short limbs so she doesn't really need a specific bike, she rides my Altitude fine.

I love how you built her something good! There are too many parts bin specials for gfs.
(I'll start ranting about women should choose/design/build their own bikes next!)
