Anyone know where I can get some new lowers for a 130mm dual air revelation? Just discovered the disc mount is starting to corrode 🙁
Plenty on ebay, or available from a few places on line. My reba mount cracked so i had a look around and cheapest seemed to be about a £150. So i went with a new set of forks. If your lowers are still structurally sound and you are seriously going to bin them, i'd be happy to pay postage and some beer vouchers for them. I might be able to bodge my rebas back to something for the hack bike.
Ta- just had a look on the bay - they all seem to be too new and so won't fit as far as i know anyway.
On mine the disc mount is corroded so when it gets to the stage of binning them I'm afraid I'll take a saw to them so they can't kill somebody and see if anyone wants the rest as spares/repair. If i don't buy some new lowers that is.
Corrosion on fork lowers? Really? Seems very unlikely.
Stevo...I guess you've forgotten the evil that is UK salted roads? 😉
Aye, to be fair I hadn't thought of that!
I have some white ones from some 130mm dual air revs, good condition just a few normal scratches. I managed to knacker the steerer on them when my headset died and I ingored it and it scored the steerer really badly! I'm unlikely to bother getting a new top half so could sell the lowers.

@stevomcd I think it's partly galvanic from the steel bolts of the disc mount - a scratch in the anodising seems to have been the start - there's about 1/3 of the width of the disc mount around the bolt turned to cheese as I did up the bolts replacing the disc mount (and I was using the approved torque)
