In my frustration with my 'rockin back n for Planet X superlight 29er wheel' I seem to have overtightened the centrelock lock ring & looks like I've snapped off the flat ring 'head' component leaving the thread in the barrel.

Total **** I know but any ideas?!

Theres no purchase on the broken thread at all so its stuck n screwed into the hub.

Have I totally f$£%£ed it?

With the head part sheared off the thread part should be inder no tension so should be easy to turn. I say should 'cos things don't always turn out like that.

Can you drive it round with a punch? wedge something in to turn it? weld bit of steel onto it?

No welding or dremel but fingers crossed its not tight - I'll have a go with wedging something in there
